Analog BASStard is exactly what the name says, a collection of analog basses, but it’s not only that … Nowadays the market is filled with analog sounds, so we did not wanted to give you what you might already have. It’s known that analog synthesis is the best when it comes to synth basses, but not all the synthesizers have that something to create a very good bass, mainly because of the analog filters. If the filters are thin sounding or even not properly designed, then it’s unlikely you can produce a warm resonant or deep punchy bass with that instrument.

So, first, we had to find some instruments that have great analog filters and were able to produce a big playable bass sound. After we extensively tested and listen to some known vintage synths we decided to give it a go with following instruments: Minimoog, Juno 106, TB303, Prophet One and 5. All these synths are still used in the studio even today because of their unique sounds and especially for their bass sounds.

Second, our sound designer tried to bring you the best basses from each of these synths. After that we combined them using the layering feature of NNXT advanced sampler, making this way unique sounding basses that surprised even us! In this library you’ll hear some of the best analog filters at work. This is what makes this collection refreshing and unbelievable analog sounding.
